Harmonics Choir was formed in 2010 in order to continue the long-standing tradition in Gibraltar of performing Classical and Neo-Classical choral music.
The Choir is comprised of over 40 members and is very active in the Gibraltarian Cultural scene.
The Choir was warmly received at their inaugural concert in 2011 and has continued working and developing since.
Harmonics has performed works such as Vivaldi’s Gloria and Faure’s Requiem as well as many traditional Christmas Concerts.
The Messiah was performed in Gibraltar in 2016 by Harmonics and local soloists, after a break of about 40 years since the last local choir took the plunge, this was once again performed in 2023 in conjunction with InCantus (Gibraltar) Link below.
Later Harmonics was used as the choral backing for two of Albert Hammond’s songs (Cantare Cantaras and The Snows of New York) for his album Legend II.
In 2018 a special concert in honour of the Centenary of the end of WWI was performed featuring Karl Jenkin’s The Armed Man.
Hamonics members have had the privilege to perform alongside The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and Andrea Bocelli.
